The six course French dinner I'm preparing for friends is coming along nicely. Julia Child can keep her complicated easy beef stew bourguignon recipe because I know the methods behind it. It's no different than Chicken Marsala or Beef Stroganoff.

Kroger Fruit and Grain Low Fat Cereal Bars. These breakfast bars simple beef stew are another of my favorite Kroger brand foods. They have a good texture, taste good, and come in a lot of different flavors so I never get bored. Apple cinnamon is my favorite, but I like them all.

Now that you've got a body created, how do you make a character live? Give it a personality. That requires that you give it something more than just the color of its hair or how tall it is. Then we have the feeding issue. Everyone has to eat, don't they? Even us bears! She's always cooking this and that, and some of the oddest things too. Like simple slow cooker ham, fried catfish,(meow) and Harvard beets. Who would know that this female likes to cook such weird things. I like my fish baked anyway, but certainly not catfish. I think it's yucky and she LOVES it. Yuck! But she does make some great salads with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced cucumbers, green onions, cheeses and great dressings. Doesn't that sound good? Yeah, sometimes she does something right. But I gotta admit... I do eat good too. She's a great cook, most of the time.

Treat yourself to a small adventure in the bulk section of a health foods store or a spice store. Look at the colors and textures of the herbs and spices. For any that look interesting, open the canister and take a whiff of the fragrance (but not too close and avoid breathing into or near the contents!) See if a couple options don't call out for experimentation.

So send out those easy beef stew healthy and get ready for a great winter party. Your guests will be thrilled that you planned something fun and memorable to break up the cold weather blues.
